Latest Government News and Initiatives

Climate change is widely recognised as the biggest threat to the sustainability of life as we know it in the UK. Consequently, the tools of Government are being adapted to face up to the challenge of improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon and greenhouse gas emissions. New homes are now required to be far more energy efficient than ever before and to greatly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

The two principle tools of the UK Government used to promote energy efficiency are the Code for Sustainable Homes initiative and Building Regulations. For further information go to www.planningportal.gov.uk.

Titon’s contribution to achieving the goals set out by Government is the development of new and more efficient ventilation technologies that reduce the amount of energy used. In the case of heat recovery systems to increase the amount of energy recovered from heat lost through ventilation.
